Day of San
Patricio
The Day of San Patricio in The
United States is common to see Irish symbols for all sides. There are not
absent the clovers of three leaves, the green beer, Lepechaun's representations
(the traditional Irish goblin) and samples of culture, music and Irish
gastronomy. The green color is popular in the celebrations of the Day of San
Patricio in The United States because it symbolizes happiness. The whole
population illuminates his more enterteining articles of this color and even it
disguises itself as Irish elves. The clover is a sacred plant spread in
Ireland, but also it was used by San Patricio to explain the concept of the
Holiest Trinidad, when he was speaking on his Christian faith in the island.

There are
parades in some cities as New York, New Orleans, Chicago or Boston, on Sunday
previous to the 17th. Bars, pubs and restaurants offer beer dyed of green, and
it is typical to dress something in green color also. Even the people take hats
or green necklaces and vests with a clover of four leaves. One speaks this day
of the luck of the Irish or the luck of the Irishes. In many places also they sing
Irish songs, while the assistants drink beer.
